Readin' Week

Sat Feb 23, 2008, 9:50 PM
I just got back from New York City on a school run trip. It was amazing to see everything up in person like Francis Bacon and Pollock (too bad I couldn't touch it!). And just NY in general, what an amazing city. I could live there, if of course it wasn't so ridiculous to. However, it was a nice break from the stresses of art school... as I'm sure most of us can relate to. Though it's expected that each new year will challenge us, I just can't wait to graduate and not have a 9-5 schedule of school and then 6 hours of homework a night. Though this semester I'm lucky enough not to have school on thursday and friday, but I won't always be that lucky.
Well I hope everyones break was awesome. See most of you when you graduate from Grant MacEwan.

New York? I'm dripping with jealousy. What was your favorite piece of art that you got to see? And is there any chance you might be in town for the grad show?

New York City... omg there was so much to see.. lots of Andy WARHOL and PICASSO (not that I'm a huge fan), Roy LICHTENSTEIN, and Jackson POLLOCK of course... there's just too much but I would say Francis BACON was the coolest to see.
Yea totally going to be there for the Grad Show, I'm flying in and Amanda and I will see you all there... so exciting for you guys... I still have 2 more years... what a sad depressing thought. haha.
